Serious comfort for the ESD workplace

Ergonomic to the core and based on extensive research conducted by designers Bill Stumpf and Don Chadwick, Aeron was designed to support a wide range of body types. It was pioneering in the office furniture industry when it launched in 1994—and it still is, thanks to material innovation, including the addition of 8Z Pellicle, PostureFit SL, and ocean-bound plastic to the chair. The Aeron ESD Chair brings the Aeron’s legendary support and comfort into ESD-sensitive environments.

Where comfort meets support

With the same award-winning, iconic design that has been the benchmark for human-centered design for decades, Aeron ESD helps you get and stay comfortable. It distributes your weight evenly through 8Z Pellicle so there are no pressure points, and it supports your spine at the spine’s base—right where you need it most—through adjustable PostureFit SL. You’ll enjoy a balanced, fluid recline because of the Harmonic 2 Tilt. Finally, the 8Z Pellicle suspension material keeps you cool even when you’re working for long stretches of time.

Performance in the ESD workplace

We believe that everyone deserves a good chair. And we understand that ESD workplaces have special requirements when it comes to furnishings—especially seating, which can be a major source of electrostatic discharges. So we created an ESD-compliant version of the revolutionary Aeron Chair. Aeron ESD meets multiple global ESD standards—and our own exacting quality standards.

Sustainable from the start

Aeron ESD enjoys the original Aeron’s legacy of sustainability and innovation. The chair was a pioneer in both ergonomics and material innovation, breaking from the standard foam, fabric, or leather found in most office chairs at the time. Aeron ESD is composed of more than 50 percent recycled material, including ocean-bound plastic.

A more inclusive chair

While most ESD chairs use a “one size fits all” approach, we know that offering a choice of two sizes and two cylinder heights allows a more exacting fit in everything from the backrest height and the seat width to the tilt mechanism and the size of the base.

Making the best, better for Earth

We updated the Aeron Chair, adding ocean-bound plastic to the body—all without compromising what makes it the best work chair on Earth.
