FAQ

Do I need permission to reproduce an image?
If you are not the creator of the original artwork, you may need written permission from the owner to reproduce it. We at Herman Miller assume that either you are the copyright owner, or that you have permission to reproduce any artwork submitted to us. Herman Miller is not liable for any copyright infringements.

Who places the order for COI products?
The dealer orders COI products.

What kind of fabric do you use for printing?
We use a white Multiscrim fabric formulated for inkjet printing for all Resolve products, Ethospace fabric screens, and Ethospace translucent tiles. We use a white Resonance fabric formulated for inkjet printing for all Ethospace face tiles. Printing cannot be done on any other textile or on standard colors.

What level of color accuracy can I expect?
We use an eight-color printing process using dyes and inkjet print technology. The dyes will not reproduce all the colors visible on your monitor. They also cannot print many of the Pantone colors used for spot color work.

Note: Multiscrim fabric is translucent and many environmental factors affect the final color when the screens are installed. Lighting, surrounding colors, and the material behind the screens can create color shifts.

Can I create large images using multiple Ethospace face tiles or translucent tiles?
No. Herman Miller cannot guarantee image alignment or color consistency for images spanning multiple tiles.
