2006

Herman Miller awarded "Corporation of the Year Award" in the Commercial Products sector by the Michigan Minority Business Development Council.

Kimberly Coffman, Manager of Supplier Diversity at Herman Miller, selected as one of the "100 Women Impacting Supplier Diversity" to be honored in the May/June issue of WE-Women's Enterprise USA magazine, the premier national bi-monthly news publication targeted to corporate professionals and women business enterprises.

Herman Miller's strong program in supplier diversity draws recognition from DiversityInc magazine, which names the company one of the Top 10 Corporations for Supplier Diversity, joining other recognized corporations such as Sempra Energy, AT&T, J.P. Morgan Chase, and Hewlett-Packard.

DiversityInc also hails Herman Miller in a separate listing of 25 Noteworthy Companies, which measures a company's overall diversity record in four key areas--CEO commitment, human capital, corporate communications, and supplier diversity. Herman Miller is the only company in its industry to appear on any of the DiversityInc lists.

2005

Herman Miller awarded "Corporation of the Year Award" in the Commercial Products sector by the Michigan Minority Business Development Council at its 22nd annual Awards dinner. The event recognizes the efforts of corporations and individuals for their excellence in developing and committing to minority business in Michigan as well as minority business enterprises for outstanding achievements in operation effectiveness, client services, and revenue growth.

Herman Miller again included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, an international index to track the sustainability performance of companies, evaluating corporate performance using economic, environmental, and social criteria.

The Michigan Women's Leadership Council again names Herman Miller among the Top Ten Companies for Women in the State of Michigan.

2004

For the 16th time in 18 years, Herman Miller ranks as the "Most Admired" company in the furniture industry in Fortune magazine's annual survey that measures the reputation of America's corporations.

For the fifth year in a row, Herman Miller ranks among Business Ethics magazine's "100 Best Corporate Citizens"--one of only 29 companies to earn a place on the list every year since its introduction in 2000.

Herman Miller selected for the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index, an international stock portfolio that evaluates corporate performance using economic, environmental, and social criteria, known as the "triple bottom line" of sustainability.

Herman Miller receives the MMBDC's Corporate ONE Award, recognizing efforts in establishing, maintaining, and promoting Minority Business Supplier programs.
